台湾(台北)2013 , Day Two

I know I took really long to have this post up here.
You probably have no interest in my Taiwan trip anymore.
But it's okay, this is for my own keepsake. :)
So read on if you still wanna know where I've visited in Taipei.

***********************************************************

As planned, we didn't wake up too early to start off our day.
I mean like, c'mon we are finally taking a break from waking up early in the morning!
Plus, the boy confirm won't wanna wake up early for anything. Lol.
I'm kinda excited for this day because I'm gonna visit Hello Kitty Cafe (Hello Kitty Sweets)!

We started our day with 阿宗面线!
After all the ravings I saw online,  we decided to try it before our big meal at hello kitty cafe!

The boy with his first mouth of 阿宗面线!

Here's mine.
I got myself the smaller bowl one because I know that I couldn't finish it al1 by myself.
And the boy don't wanna share it with me, so he got himself the bigger bowl one.

It's kinda overrated lah. But still way better than the ones I tried in Singapore!
Worth trying it when you're in Taiwan, since you don't have to queue very long for it and it's cheap!
Oh yah! They don't have tables and chairs for you.
You have to stand to eat your meesua. I guess it's the culture of the Taiwanese. :)

So, after our 'breakfast', we moved on to our next destination, Hello Kitty Cafe!
*Punch fists in the air*
We were so lazy to take train there, and since the cafe is not far from our hotel, might as well we cab!

While walking out to the main road..
We took some #ootd.

 Sibei act yi ge. haha!

*SCREAMMMMM*
'HELLO KITTY CAFE, HERE I COME!!!'

I made a reservation for Hello Kitty Cafe at 1.30pm.
But we reached there too early, so we roamed around in the area.

Can't help but to snap some pictures outside even before we could go in. Hahah!

And then, look what we found nearby!
Agnes b cafe!
Would love to visit if I ever go back to Taipei again!
It's walking distance from Hello Kitty Cafe.
About 10-15mins walk.
For those who are interested, you can find the actual location online!

While waiting for the boy to take 5(smoke) before we walk back to my dreamland! lol

来了来了!我来了!

So excited I wanna die!

I've read the reviews online and mostly are bad reviews.
Most of them feedback that the food they serve here really suck, especially their desserts.
But hello, imma hello kitty die hard fan. I don't care if they serve really awful food/desserts, I just wanna go in and snap pictures and have my food served in hello kitty shape. haha!

Check this out! I almost died when I entered the cafe.

 HOW CUTEEEEE!!

Their cashier counter!

So pink, so hello kitty! ME LIKEY!

This cafe in unbelievable gorgeous!
They have two levels, so this is level one.

Moving on to level two...
Views from our table.

Would really really love to get the corner tables. It's so fucking pretty!
But it was all reserved. :(
So maybe when you're making a reservation, you can indicate that you would like to have the corner table.

While waiting for our food to be served!
Sigh pie~ I miss my long hair already :(

Here comes our foodie..
I can't really remember what we ordered and if I'm not wrong, their menu is in Chinese.
So I just keep pointing and ask the boy to read it out for me.
This is worst than singing some unfamiliar Chinese song in the ktv. lol

So cute! I don't even know how am i suppose to drink it cos I don't wanna ruin the hello kitty.
hahahah!

 Still snapping away!

The boy ordered this. It's really huge!

And here's mine!

No hello kitty but the prawns are damn fresh!

开动咯~~

With every order, you'll get a complimentary custard pudding! And I've been wanting to try this pudding!

*Slurp slurp slurp*

And this marks the end of my Hello Kitty Cafe visit.
I wouldn't say that it's not worth visiting and t's not every expensive too.
We spent a total of NT$1221.
It's definitely a good place for hello kitty lovers like me to visit.
The food was so-so, but not as bad as what I've seen online.

This cafe is very popular, especially during weekends. Reservation is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
You can make your reservation on their website!
There is a minimum spending of NT$300 per person and that can be easily covered if you order their set meals.
Set meal includes a starter, main course, dessert and a drink!

I will definitely visit again when I'm back in Taipei!

We set off for 五分埔(wufenpu) after that. Wanted to take a cab because we have no idea how to walk to the nearest train station. But we overheard a group of people saying that they are going to the same place we are going too. So we just followed them behind! hahaa!
We managed to reached 五分埔safely. On our way walking to 五分埔, we saw 胡须张鲁肉饭,but we were too full for that :(
It was such a pity because 胡须张 is very popular with their 鲁肉饭. :(

I was looking forward to shop at 五分埔. From what I've read online, this is one of the shopping paradise. Ladies who love to shop will definitely love this place!
But unfortunately, I didn't bought a lot of stuff from 五分埔.
But trust me, it's really a nice place to shop if you are going with your shopaholic girlfriends.
You sure can get a better deal if you purchase more from one store.
Unlucky for me, cos imma blogshop owner and the boy can't possibly buy from the same store as me.
I know roughly how much the cost price is for the clothes, and of cos I wouldn't wanna spend more when I know I can buy it at a cheaper price from my supplier.
The boy bought a few tees while I was kinda forced to buy a few tops and dresses as I only brought two sets of clothes to Taiwan. Damn gey kiang.

五分埔 (wufenpu)
Daily: 11am - 10pm
Nearest station: Houshanpi (Exit 1)

Important note: You should never go to 五分埔 on Mondays because Mondays are for shop owners only. Unless you're going to purcahse 20pieces in one store, if not no one is going to welcome you with open arms.

***********************************************************

We went back to our hotel to take a rest first since we still have a little bit of time to spare before we head over to Raohe night market.
You can actually go to Raohe from 五分埔as they are pretty near to each other. :)

We cabbed to Raohe night market. Looking forward to try the street food!
Check out some of the street food that we've tried!
Not much pictures because we were so busy looking around and trying the food ><

Bought some cute socks too!

Raohe night market is actually kinda small. It can be covered in less than 2 hours.
Acessibilty is the only problem as it is at least a 30mins walk from the nearest mrt.
I would suggest you to take a cab, just like we did! :)

Raohe Night Market
Daily: 4pm - 12mn
Nearest station: Houshanpi (exit wufenpu commercial district)

This sums up my day two in Taipei!
I have no idea when will I update about my day three in Taiwan, but hopefully it's before I go to bkk!
Yes, I'm finally going to bkk. I thought I wouldn't be able to make it this year but thank god for Wanxiu! Hell yeah, she will be going with me!
Bkk is a yearly affair lah! Cannot miss one!

Till then.
